I just realized I haven't posted any photos of the exhaust. It's sick.

It took 40 hours fabing up a new stainless 3" exhaust system and another 10 fixing a crack discovered in the DS frame at the panhard junction.
Unlike pretty much everything else, I happily paid a friend for the work as I could never have ended up with this kind of result.

Flawless.

Love how the exhaust came out. Attention to detail was above and beyond. First the mount on the on the rear cross member and where the exhaust dumps. SWING!!!

Found some photos of the panhard mount that had cracked. THIS was the source of the super-annoying death wobble I experienced for months.

I had my buddy weld up one of Dave's kick ass weld-on reinforcement plates.

Note: you can see in the first photo where the crack propagated in the valley of the formed part. We ground it out and put down a root weld. After letting it cool, we were surprised to see another previously unseen crack open up as the material cooled (second photo). Wild.

Those welds look tits...

Shoot when you got night vision you do not need mood lighting. White phosphorus or old school green?

Those are DTNVS with L3 filmless white phosphor tubes. Lots of fun driving around out in the desert in the pitch dark. 😁

Few people notice it but the pair of 10 inch light bars on my roof rack are 840 nm Black Oak IR floods for just such shenanigans.

I remember driving through the mojave at NTC with just the small IR lights on our old humvees, if there was no illumination out from the moon, we were essentially blind.

Dropping into ditches because you had zero depth perception, I got punched by my platoon Sgt quite a bit 🤣

Fun times.

You are fun. I want to be your friend. Also want to be your friend’s friend. The one who welds :)

Really cool build.

A lot of (meaning most) people don’t realize how many hours it takes to build a custom exhaust system from scratch. It’s always worth it though because they fit better than any kit. If you were paying $125-150/hr for that it’s a $5-6000 exhaust system. People freak out when you quote that! 😂

Cheers
