FYI: Plaque has been delivered. Leslie was not there, someone in front said they'd see that she got it. BTW the volunteer that delivered it was me.

 thank you much Jean  at the rate I'm going it would have ridden around another three weeks before I made it over there :bang:

quite understandably. It was a special trip for me but I made it fun cause my sis and I made it a road trip and even ate at Mel's ;)

I guessed no one would volunteer at the Sunday's meeting so I went. Paul said I was becoming another LL :D

Sometimes folks will surprise you but we sure do appreciate all you do for us :cheers: Paul's right if you don't watch it'll become a full time job, if it does just say the word I've got your back ;)

So, some of you met my buddy John when we were in Hot Springs in Feb. He had a blast with us and was talking about getting himself a rig. He even joined MUD (mbjohn68) and posted a few times. He also kept lurking here and I suspect he was still looking at the rigs for sale. I kept sending him links to rigs for sale here and on ebay and craigslist. Well, the whole reason he has been dragging his feet on getting one finally arrived Fri at 8:54 am. Congrats (and I still think they are nuts for this) to John and Stacey on the birth of their daughter, Ashleigh Nikole. Mom and baby will be going home this morning.

Alright John.....now that the baby is here, no more excuses. College is over rated and will cost WAY too much by the time Ashleigh gets to that age (and you will have been retired for like 10 years at that point) so you might as well spend your money on fun $hit now!! Get a rig and take the family on a trip with us! :hillbilly:

ditto to all the above:clap:

a world education at the hand & guidance of a parent throughout there formative years will far out weigh an years spent in a class room listening to someone that has never been there and done that

getting dirty, falling down scraping a knee getting back up, getting n receiving a fat lip, sunrises, sunsets ,etc etc !
 & :steer: :)

Doesn't LSLC take some cool beach trips in their Cruisers? I used to read through their forums. If they don't cut it, look into the White Trash of the Elwood Chapter. No shortage of fun there. :hhmm:

Title:(cars & trucks - by owner) Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 Troop Carrier - Dual Fuel 4x4

Selling "Matilda" - FJ 45 Troop Carrier (dual fuel)

I'm selling our Troopy. A member of our family for some time. She has brought us great joy and will be missed. Bought it from mud member (JSaltLick) and was as billed. She's seen parades and crawfish boils etc.. but family is changing and it's time for her to go to a new home.

1982 FJ45 Troop Carrier "Troopy". RHD, dual fuel (propane and gasoline), Original paint (mustard yellow), factory A/C (OEM Nippondenso unit), OME 2.5" lift/shocks (from Bull) w/ greasable anti-inversion shackles. Reverse kit on hangers/springs, two sets of OEM rims ("steelies" w/ Toyo A/T's and lots of tread, and a set of 5 spoke OEM's, now black). The truck comes w/ a custom roll cage from Metal Tech w/ 3 B pillars, cross ties and supports as well as base plates and frame tie in's.... still in the wrapper. New speaker bar from J**P to span across the cage, bucket seats from TPI Off Road as well as OEM front bench. Two rear benches, rear tire carrier, new thermostat, fan, clutch, hoses. 4+ front bumper w/ shackles and new Warn 8274 never....never unspooled once. All glass intact. Optima yellow top. Round Eye headlights, new bib/front grill.

It has a hole in the exhaust/header that needs patching/replacing. The metal is very good in the floor pans, rear quarters, running boards, rockers, rear sil and rear floor and fenders. There was an insulation in the rig when I got it on the fender wells. When this was removed, it appears that the rig has rust spots at some of the seams of the fender wells. I got some wells stamped from PACOL, LLC - PACOL,LLC

Long story short, the stamped wells will also come w/ the truck. They are very nice.

Asking $14,000 for everything. ... or "reasonable offers"

Keywords: Toyota, Land Cruiser, FJ 45, FJ45, Troopy, Troopie, Troop Carrier, Propane, Dual Fuel, Toyota Land Cruiser, FJ40, Jeep, 1982, Truck, Warn, 4x4, 4 wheel drive.
