Saw this before..... very very cool.

Heading to the WWII museum tomorrow :)

Very cool indeed. Scott, I was in New Orleans yesterday on business and heard on the radio that the Huey P. Long bridge was going to be shut today. I know you probably wouldn't be using it anyway. However, the reason for the closure is that they are working to widen it and they ae lifting a new part of the bridge in place today. From what I understand, the process is something of major engineering feat and a historic moment. There will be peopl out on the Miss River Levee taking pics and videoing. Anyway, if you find yourself in a position to check it out, you might want to. Have a safe trip and enjoy yourself.

That area has been a total cluster hump for months now while they are "re-building" that bridge to widen it. Personally, I think they should have left it alone. If you're too chicken $hit to drive it because it was narrow as hell, then stay off it. That's just one less person I have to try to get around....... :grinpimp:

Agreed, its been fine all these years leave it alone and resurface it like they did the MRB.

I would think that's because it's not build big or go home for them, it's build big (and correctly) or don't come home...... :D
