I took the kids to the Independance my brother was on one of the floats and had my fill. Over crowded and over run with drunks. Next year I'll stick to the Youngsville Parade and call it good I wasn't impressed by any of the Lafayette parades including the one we drove in Friday night. Maybe I was in the wrong places
My kids opted to not go to any parades on Mardi Gras Day, so yeah, I think we are done. 
I went to the Endymion Parade Saturday. The parade was delayed so the kids and I walked down the row of floats that were staged. No crowds or any drunks. We had 4 trash bags full of all kinds of stuff. Not really many beads, mostly neon swords, stuffed animals, and lots of plastic Saints footballs. They even handed us a Guitar Hero Beatles complete set! Totally insane and we also decided to decline to participate on Tuesday, it would have been hard for the kids to have topped that anywhere we would have gone.

It was good seeing everyone today at the meeting. I have been a little busy lately with work, holidays, helping the wife start a business, etc. But things have slowed down now and I should be starting to get back in the swing of things with the group. Looking forward to this year!
