Well BSLCA members....I've decided that I don't want to do my job anymore. I just told my supervisor that I will be leaving when my relief comes back from medical leave. I will be looking for something else, but will most likely end up going back up north. I don't know how much wheeling I will do in the near future because I will be saving money. I will definitely be up for hanging out and wrenching when people need help. It's been fun. I hope to be leaving SLB sometime in April.

Sorry to hear that bud we'll be sorry to see you go. I hope you find something that suits your needs its a tough economy to be looking for work. If you do go back up North make it a good wheeling spot so we can come up for a visit

Oh yeah, there are plenty of spots up there. I even know of some that are on public land.

I would also try to get to some Hot Springs and Smokey Mountain runs.

Ryan now you see how i fill about that :censor: company. Sorry to see you move up north my friend. Good luck in finding a new job.

I guess I'm going to get my CDL and drive a truck for my dad while looking for something more permanent. Hopefully in the IT field. I will be working on certificates for the remainder of my time here.

I've been averaging 4-5 hours of sleep a night and the beds are very uncomfortable and make all of my young joints hurt. I do like the fatigue management plan that says I should get a mandatory 8 hrs a night or not work. I don't like the food. I also don't like my supervisor who thinks it is unreasonable to leave a couple of days early to take care of my infant when my wife is sick, but it is perfectly reasonable for him to get a hotshot to go home for the Superbowl, and then get one to come back Monday because he left some clothes here.

Yeah. It was nice to wheel in Gilmer. I will miss you guys most of all. This club is probably the best thing I have going for me in Louisiana. I am hoping that those clubs up there will be as good and that I can make a friend or two there that will come with me to meet up with you guys in the central region.

You going to miss the crawfish boil and all the good food.

That is true. Maybe I will catch me some up there and boil them. There's a lot more deer meat up there though and I miss that stuff.

Man that sucks that you plan to leave, but I understand about not liking the job. You have a new location in mind?
QPM was hiring guys for work in North Dakota $80K plus a year, land base with apartment, company truck there, and charter plane from Lafayette. 28 and 28 though not for me yet. Would be cool for a couple of Summer hitches to make some quick cash. A buddy got hired on and he sits in a shack watching pipeline pressures.

Probably going to be heading up to Peoria. I know they have a cat plant there because our boat has cats and they send us there for training (although I haven't been there yet). Planting season is right around the corner and I will probably do some trucking too. Hopefully, I will be into a regular job by summer.

Oh, and my dad is selling generators too. I might be delivering and installing those for people too. He has too much going on for him to handle alone. I think he wants me to come up and just work for him. I was talking about finding a job ASAP and he was talking about taking my time and helping him run his multiple businesses....roads, farming, trucking, generators.

Lasted about an hour here it was nice while it lasted.

Same over here. Kids enjoyed it for about and hour. We have kids living all around us and didn't see anyone else playing in the snow.

New mayor in N.O., Ricky Jackson inducted into the hall of fame, Saints win Super Bowl, and snow all within a week. Go figure.:hillbilly:
