Might have to fill at the pump two or three times since some stations limit the amount to $100 per "fill".

Does anyone else remember being able to fill up one the old cars for $17?
Yeah, my first fillup was $0.34/gal. Man that was long ago, when air conditioning and power windows came in Cadillacs. I don't miss those days.

I'm in at 1200 shipped.

Last year, around Dec , I reach out to Paul Evan at Long Range for a quote for my 1991 HDJ81 , they manufactured three different types : here the breakdown:

1. 145ltr main replacement fuel tank, RRP $1100.00 AUD Part number TLC80FR.*Specify engine & transmission type when placing orders*

2. 160ltr sub replacement fuel tank, RRP $1025.00 AUD Part number TLC80RR. *Requires removal & relocation of the spare wheel*

3. 160ltr auxiliary fuel tank, RRP $1300.00 AUD Part number TLC80RAX. *Only suitable for factory single tank vehicles or for export*

this cost without shipping, also, I am not sure if it is a turn key installation.

To install the main tank, modification to the fuel sender is needed but otherwise bolt-in as I remember. Installing a sub tank in a truck that didn't have one from the factory requires the dual filler neck and LRA makes an aftermarket version. It also requires adding a transfer pump to move fuel to the main tank, the pump and the switch are also part of the kit. They will also make a 90L version of the subtank so it doesn't hang as low as the 160L tank.

These are Longe Range Automotive tanks, sorry if I'm mixing things up in this thread which was originally intended to discuss Brown Davis tanks.

Word around the water cooler is that Brown Davis is working with Cruiser Outfitters right now to bring in a variety of fuel tank options for different models for the US market.

Are Cruiser Outfitters the same vendor as Kurt from @cruiseroutfit ? With all the outfitting of cruisers lately, I'm starting to lose track...:D

If this is for a replacement Main tank, I would like to be added for one. If it is, what I was told doesn't make sense, but I hope this works out!
I believe he mentioned subs the only one offered from this company(they claim the stock main tank mounts do not provide enough support if I read it correctly). I just need to know what's included with this sub tank before I make a decision, but am seriously interested...

Im still waiting to hear back from an Australian seller that sold me my whitelines, and From Brown davis themsleves. First guy is charging almost cost of tank to ship to states, so Im going another route.

Installed a LRA 24 gallon auxilary, was running Ironman constant load 200-400kg springs... But after adding the tank I had to install airlift airbags to even out the truck. Just recently I removed the Ironman Toyo25C springs /airbags and installed OME 864's, looks to be the same ride height except without the hassle of air bags.

How much was the LRA 24gallon ?? Did it come with everything needed to be up and running ? MyHDJ81 didn't come with a sub tank so I would need dual filler , pump etc.

What I liked about the Brown Davis is that it didn't need all the stuff as a traditional sub tank, it simply pumps from auxiliary to main, with an overflow back to auxiliary.
