Brighter Headlights for FJ60???

I have used the APC(ricer stuff) harness, but I don't see them listed anymore. you NEED the one for a Toyota only for a fj60 or the highbeem light on dash will not work. I have been looking on-line and I see no one makes the H-4 Toyota harness anymore. I paid like $30 for mine.

ARB/IPF sells one, but its like $90

Where can I get the wiring harness? I would like to get the Cibies - 7" H4 E's right?

I have the 920H Headlamp 7" Round IPF's with the optional C41B Whitemax H4 55/60 Blue after Burners.

Not Cheap
7"round $62 pair
Afterburners $40.00 pair
H.D. wiring harness $82.00 (don't need)

Came along with my FJ60.........awesome !! best light I have had on road less driven.

Make sure you get the Bling Bling Blue After Burners to go with em....They glow blue for 15-20 min after you shut your lights off.............these rule !

IPF uses a high pressue exotic gas mix in the bulb. This new process gives illumination equal to 80W on low beam 110W on high beam, with no added load to the factory wiring harness. The bulb has a phosphorescent ring at the base that stores light energy. When the lights are turned off, it will continue to glow for about ten minutes with enough light to find your way around in an average garage. Used with the IPF headlamp replacements, they'll make the Hella, PIAA, and every other competitor's H4s look dim.

These H-4 headlamps replace your factory headlight with a double coated lens 3/8" hardened polished glass for extreme strength against rocks and chips and against high heat situations. The lens is prism and column cut. Other H4 lights exist on the market, and we've experimented with a few different brands, the IPF lights are by far the best light pattern and chip resistant of the bunch. These are no better H4 lights than IPF.

These incredible lights turn the night into day when you are driving and provides a sharp cutoff which means these lights shine less into the eye of oncoming drivers than your factory lights, while providing a dramatic increase in nightime visibility on the highway, and off to the shoulder. The very best H4 light available.

Those sound nice Razor. I looked around and want some. Where did you get your afterburners for $40 ?

you are not replacing or cutting anything, you are bypassing the stock harness and takin power for the lights right off the batt/alt, so more volts. When instaled(and its plug and play) everythinig works like before.

Hey beachedFJ62,

Try the Lightforce lights, Polycarbonate housings and lenses.....but for the best part, you rotate the lens body, and it changes the focus from a pencil to a wide beam!

Very high quality, but still lightweight. They also include a breather system for submersing, not good with 130W and glass lenses.

You can also get all colors for filters, including infra-red for the stealth missions!

No affiliation, just a happy owner!

Good luck!

also, for the fj60 get the SUV lights Toyota only H-4 harness. For a fj40 get the normal H-4 harness. If you use the normal in the 60 the highbeam indicator doens't work.
Shame the harness is discontinued. What's the difference between the normal one and the one made for Toyotas? How hard would it be to modify the standard harness, or just make my own?

hell...

i got the new "FATBOYS" from IPF. heres the right up on em...:

X51 Fatboy bulbs

The newest in high output bulb technology. This bulb uses a gas charge for extreme high output, while only drawing the legal limit of 55/60w. Out put on this bulb is a 190w low beam equivalent and 150w high beam equivalent. Why the backward numbers? IPF engineers have determined that when using the H4 lens a precise placement of light will not blind oncoming drivers. Low beam does typically represent a reduction in visibility though. This bulb balances the two by increasing brightness, but keeping the light low so as not to affect oncoming traffic. Try them, you will not be sorry. These are THE bulbs being used by top racers and industry officials today.

basically no need for wiring harness! -sean

you would need to add a di-od or resistor(forget which) to the hanrness to make the dash light work. Or live without the dash light.

What is the cost on these? Any link? How do these compare to the 920Hs from IPF?

I really need this mod as its D-A-R-K up here.
