Well my design is specific for Toyotas and could be problematic on other manufacturers setups.

I made a very simple gauge that lets you set one side to you master cylinder and automatically sets the other side for guage the rod position.

I made a gauge from a piece of cardboard, a piece of tape and a bamboo skewer. It's a little bent-up now from sitting in a drawer, but when I used it a few years ago it worked great!
