Very sorry for the delay of updates with this build. I have been slammed with the new company, and have not had much time to do a full write up with pics. During Christmas I plan on doing a full build thread on a page with full measurments and descriptions for this conversion along with detailed pictures for anyone who wants to do this build. HERE IS THE NEAT THING>>>> this build cost me a total of $1400.00 WITH THE AXLES FROM THE FORD F350. I wanted to build it, and see how it would work with the factory suspension from a Ford F250 and to see how it would work off road on a budget. BUT I wanted to test it a few times beating it up on the trail before so I could make sure that it would hold together well before I did this write up. Well, It held up really nicely, and I am pleased (so far) with the results. THe other cool thing about this build, is that I was able to use the factory driveshafts( I will explain in detail)

THis is also just the beginning of this truck, and I know it will go through many changes from Mild to extreme as I go through this when time permits. So I know that there are going to be a lot of mixed opinions about this build, BUT this is going to be a trail and error thing and I am having a blast seeing what works, and what doesnt. at least I am able to open up the doors for other Sequoia builders that want to see what works and what doesnt to help everyone save a few bucks on building these great trucks.

I am going to form the website around Christmas, and it will be dedicated solely to SAS'ing Sequoia's and to entertain all builders of this truck. From Start to finish with detailed specs of steering/ suspension/ hydrolics/ and the ins and outs of the ABS system.

Again, Sorry about the delay, but I FINALLY have found some time to do this. and I will also post some vids of it wheeling /

Here is a really gay vid of us drinking and being bored in the snow.

Thanks I have been working on the soft doors for a while now, and should be done in the next few weeks from the canvas people, THey look incredible on the truck when they were fitted on (all 4 doors) zip out/fold-in windows etc. I have also been really looking into the exo, and have been toying with a few ideas (drawings) and still have not figured out a neat way to pull off the exo. But in due time, I will working on the cage. I just got the 37's TSL's on and am in need of the hydo-assist, so that is also in the works.

Feels like it is never ending:bang::bang:

Here are some pics of the Sequoia with 37" tires. The gears are 4:88 (major difference in driveability)and both the axles are fully locked!! A few poser parking lots shots, and a few last minute geigh hill climb. I have some wheeling vids of it wheeling with the 37's with no rubbing, will be on Youtube asap).

Hydro assist has been ordered and will be installed next week (time permitting)

I only wish I could get that "Bored"! Looks Bad-Ass, I love it!!

Thanks you all. LOL I orginally "was" bored when I first started to "build" it, then I broke the front diff in half wheeling it on the rocks with 285/75/16's, then roasted the rear diff at a stoplight doing a burn out (long drunken story) Then all hell broke loose when I figured out I could slap some REAL axles under it for the same price it would be to repare/replace the front and rear diff that I broke. THEN i found out that this rig is pretty damn capable for a grocery getter with all the comforts. and I LOVE the V8 coming from a person that wheeled and beat a 22RE for years in basically a buggy.

It has been A LOT of fun to do, and the road trips are unbelievably comfy. Just a tad bigger than a Landcruiser, but small enough to still throw around on a trail.

you gonna bring that thing down to Uwharrie this year? i'd love to see it in person

Just moved to Va, and I heard that Uwharrie is near. If you set up a good weekend to go, I will go. Always up for a road trip!!!

PM me if you are serious, I would def. like to wheel Uwharrie. WHen is the next time you all are going??

they open back up in April. im thinking of going towards the end of April to avoid the congestion of the first few weeks. i'll just have to see who all i can round up. hopefully i'll have my SAS complete.

let me know. The less trail traffic the better.
