My trucks color is (Dark) Blue Metallic (8B4). It is a little faded but the snow pic is probably the closest to the true color.

Thanks, mine is really faded so im thinking about getting it painted.

Few Updates:

Got my Carb fan running. No more vapor lock. Yay!!!!

Put a new K&N air filter in. Truck was having a hard time breathing. Between the fan and the air filter its already running better.

My inverter came in but haven't gotten hooked up yet.

Also started my LED conversion. I have a few pics.

Not happy with the LED lights for the parking lights so I am going to replace those but the side marker is great.

HID Lights done!!!

So I finally got my HID lights installed. I went with the DDM slim kit with H4 Hi/low bulbs 55W at 6000K. The inserts I got were 7" Roundeyes. They came with H$ bulbs that I took pics of for comparison. My original thread on this is here.

Roundeye info can be found here.

Now for the pics:

This is the control box for the Hi/Low which works perfectly with the control in the cab. No modification needed. Mounted behind the driver side lens.

HID Wiring which I ran behind front bumper and zip tied to the headlamp cleaner tubing to keep away from radiator.

This is the connection to the battery.

And Finally the rough comparison of all three the lights.
Headlight_Compare.jpg

I am very happy with what I did. The HID's are waaaay brighter but also just super clean light. I need to re-aim them slightly but it is a super nice upgrade. All three pics taken with camera sitting on hood by windshield. All three taken at same settings around same time each night.

Damn

Wow! I look forward to doing that mod. My lights still need to be re-aimed after my SOA but nobody flashes me because they're so dim.

nice rig and the colour too man, im looking for a brand new door panel too, do you have some information for a new one with brown colour?I want change to HID light but my truck is 24V....

I think your headlights will still be 12V though. Shouldn't be a problem. I too am looking into this...

Solid choice on the HID's, I did the same and it pays off huge in crappy weather and driving at night.

Quick Update. Haven't been able to do to much but have gotten 1 or 2 things done. My hood stand broke so I pulled the trigger on the hood shock conversion. I had to drill new holes so the hood didn't hit the wipers.

Also putting new horns in cause my old ones broke. Picked up some Hella SuperTones.

Had to make a pigtail to hook them up:

Not working yet because horn ring is busted too. Should have that done soon.

Tiny project that turned into a big one:

license_bolt.jpg

Turned out to be a much bigger project than I had thought. Needed to take the license frame off to replace and put new registration on. One of the bolts was completely frozen in there. It sheared off and then I had to back it through from behind. The two bolts that were in there had two different threads that were not the threads on the truck. After much searching for a bolt that would fit I ended up just re-tapping the holes. Ended up going 7mm which made it difficult to find a stainless steel bolt so I had to order two from England. Its all done now and I really like it.

Nice rig and great work! Subscribed. Me wants a 60! :crybaby:

Man this is a great thread. If you don't mind me asking where did you find the HID lights and harness and roundeyes.

Mini update...

In getting ready for the trucks first camping trip I have been trying to get a few minor things under control.

1. Replaced all the screws and nuts around the headlight bezels. They are now very snug and don't move.
2. Replaced a few clips for the grill.
3. Replaced my cig lighter. Also replaced the 15 amp fuse for good measure. I can now power stuff in the truck, yay!
4. Checked fluids, wires, and vacuum hoses in engine bay. All good!
5. Put air in tires. I have 31" Goodyear MT-R tires. Max PSI of 50. Was averaging 35 PSI. Put 46 PSI in each tire. Much better drive. Silly me.

46!
wow...
not that u asked 4 my opinion, but that will wear them badddd..prematurely that is
