Battery n starter pics.

Bypassed dual batteries. Ran positive on battery on the right directly to starter, (should go to solenoid, and another cable from solenoid to starter.) So far working for 3 days haven't got new cable yet. Will Wednesday. Hate electrical s***.

Mighta found your problem...is that chrome on the starter? Looks like some more on the hold down clamp, experience shows chrome parts do not work


Seriously though, hope you get it sorted without the 44

Ole Blue having a rough winter. Last week amp gage dropped on way down south, exhaust loosened up from frost heaves. Exhaust fixed. Replaced alternator with 1 from my 91 3fe still not where it should be Help me

You need it to be 3fe or can you use a 2f? Do you have the exciter circuit hooked up?

Amps where low before I changed it. No I don't. I Think I knocked something loose

Can’t recall if 3fe needs outboard charging relay to start... I have an old 2f alternator... if you need it, I’ll send it.

Have you checked voltage at the alternator with a known good meter?
