Blend door damper servo replacement (1 Viewer)

I have a 1996 FZJ80. When I slide the thermostat more that a 1/8th of inch towards cold, I get a loud and frequent knock that sounds like it is right behind my radio.

My local dealer and another mechanic near by gave me a part number of 87106A, but it is discontinued.

If I can find a part, will it be the same for a JDM, or do I need to branch out to friends in the UK and Australia?

Why don't you just get a new distributor box from @slow95z? Unless you're married to keeping this JDM all JDM, you're going to be chasing parts for the remainder of the time you own it. If you buy USDM parts, you'll be more likely to find replacements for them at least from donor trucks.

H&H in Charlotte, NC was able to get it fixed. They had to re-use the bracket and swing arm (the JDM pieces) but the servo is same as LHD.

Yes. He moved from South Blvd. Owner is Dean. He has helped me out a ton this past year.

I passed by the other day and was wondering if it was the same shop from south blvd. Luckily hadn’t had to use his services yet but there has always been lots of cruisers around his place.
