I started fitting a 65mm stainless exhaust ive made up and found that the joint below the drivers door was only 45mm ID .. Could this be part of the reason my 3b will only do 102kmph flat out ? It looks pretty weeny , Its 3 old bits of pipe sleved in a bunch too make repairs over the years i guess.

im intending too use an aircon pump for a compressor but the one i have is 24volt.... will the magnet still work with 12volt or do I have too go scavanging ?.
My home brew exhaust works great too , it made it easy too hear all the leaks in the engine bay .

Hi Mohawk. I am dropping a 15b into my 40 series. I have added a turbo, custom injector pump and 12v conversion. Should be mounting within the next month.

Aircon pump for compressed air will mount where my fist is in the first pic.
not sure what pump , i need 12volt anyway so will find somthing and make a braket too suit.
i discovered i can relocate the tensioner and make it work

Ok , so i found a freindly pump dude around the corner from where i intend too do the engine swap . He said there is no way too make the 15b housing I have work without an ecu , but he will source a suitable body and swap my internals into it .... He said budjet on 9 -1400 nzd , but that will be a good as new pump that performs exactly as toyota intended .
Its gotta be good for piece of mind knowing you have a mint pump i guess so not such a bad thing , and as a bonus all the extra un needed junk will be left out..yaaay

Iv got room too move the ps resovour forward too the side of the throttle body where the egr was. Thats cool cause it keeps evetything engine mounted and tidy.... i scored an 80series turbo air box for half price . They have 80 mm in and outlets too suit the 15b but my snorkle is only 75mm. Still heaps bigger than the 3b junk so all good for now. I had too mod the outlet and mounts tho .

Dan. Is tbere a chance you can post a pic of your ps pump as it sits now in relation too the chassis ?... i am gettiing the fitting chopped down as much as possible and redirrecting the line upwards. I just hope it will be enough. Measuring shows i should have heaps of room.

Here's a pic of the pump, before I rotated it 180*, the return fitting is not on it as it hit the steering shaft.

Shot from above, I guess you don't have a steering shaft on this side of your engine bay, so maybe you'll be okay; you can also see the coolant hard line hitting the frame in this shot too.

Here it is rotated 180* with the 80 series high pressure line hooked up.

Would this 15B be having a turbo fitted? Does not look like it, just skimming through. A turbo would be well worth the extra effort.

not at this stage , and too be honest probly not in the future.... The speed limits only 100km round here and ill never be hauling loads over a ton , add too that the damn thing will probly fall over if i go much faster .
It should be alot easyer on the drive train without one too and hopefully last the rest of my life.
Heres a good link
