Nice! Bet there's not much that'd stop the orange beast.

nice trucks...i think i was supposed to hook up with your club i think when i was in finland...really wish i would have. where abouts are you? beauty trucks...how common are the HJ45's? i dont remember seeing many around Lappeenranta when i was living there...

tervetuloa mud

Why cut and shorten the frame and wheel base of a 45? Doesn't that just make it 40-43 series?

:meh:

Noup, It was originally a longwheelbase and since we didnt get those short wheelbase trucks here in finland I had to make one:)
It now has 2700mm wheelbase.

kiitos, I live in salo about 200km from helsinki.
They are not that common, any 45 is quite rare here and usually in very bad condition.
But plenty of BJ40`s and 42`s here (I have two of those too) Not so many FJ´s, this is the land of diesel cruiser:D

Nice truck

I thought the allmighty 3B needed some extra power, so off with the manifold:

Flipp it around and weld a turbo flange to it:

And all done:

Much better now:)

killa ride mate 10/10

Broke the rear hub bolts on one of our clubs rides:

decided to add four bolts to the hub:

It now has ten grade 12.9 bolts, I think it should take some beating before braking again.

Thanks all for the comments, I really like how the truck performs, suspension is smooth and flexes well, wheelbase seems to be optimal for the type of trails we have here and the turbo made huge difference.

Little testing of the hub bolts:)

Wow thats one nice ride.

Where did you source the flexible pipe from the turbo to the intake?

What wheel studs are in this disc converted brake hub? What disc brake rotors do you use? What calipers are you using on those rotors?

Sorry missed this one...

Rotors are toyota lj70 front discs, behind the hub
Wheel studs are hj60/61 front studs
MB sprinter calipers with custom bracket
and wheel spacer made from old brake drum

Gday Tepa78

nice truck.

I was through northern Finland in October 2010. Spotted 5 40series and 60 series just of the road at peoples houses.

can read about the trip here..
The White Elephant does the North Cape. Im still uploading it, even though I finished the trip in November.

Quick question on your disk brakes.

Can LJ70 calipers be fitted?
What was your reason for not using them?

regards

Tonka
