Hello guys. my bj43 soft top has a 2b engine. i wanted to check the condition of oil in diffs and tranny and gearbox and they are white color. so removed everything. how much oil to put in my front diff and rear. tranny and gearbox

i bought GL5 for differentials and GL4 for Tranny and gearbox
problem is my front diff i put in about 3Liters before its start to fill out of the hole. is that amount correct

There is no reason to use different weight gear oil in any of the boxes. They are designed for 75W90. These are old machines and all of their gearboxes run old school gear oil very well. I have switched to synthetic in all of mine, but I maintain the same weight.

In the extreme cold (actual cold not Sri Lankan cold), when your synchronisers start to wear, you can put in half a quart of ATF in the transmission. But otherwise with a strong gearbox, straight 75W90.

In both differentials, the transmission and transfer case simply fill until the oil starts to gently drizzle out of the fill plug. Then it's full. This is not a modern car, requiring precision amounts of oil. Close enough is good enough. Just make sure it's not low.
