My 1980 fj40 badly needs a knuckle rebuild. My ball has some pitting. What do you think? should I use the JB weld trick or put it back together. I have the kit from cruiser outfitters. have been polishing with 600 grit grinder.
Thanks
Joe

If you are are going to apply glue, then spend the time to get all the oil/grease out of the pores in the pits if you expect it to stick for long. Warm the area well with propane torch then scrub with an acetone soaked white rag FIRE HAZZARD be careful- when the rag stays clean then do the glue and sand smooth.
