i had 315 on my stock rig when i bought it. i ended up going with 285 km2's. then i lifted it and put it back on 315s.

i put on 305 70 r 16's look perfect to me with stock height springs and 1.5" spacers (see sig for photos) no rubbing and plenty of tread for the back roads!

If i had a 2 inch lift thongh i would go with 35's or 345 75 16's with out a question. Ask your self how soon you want to lift the truck and that'll tell you what tire to get!

Having just gone through tons of research on all of this I feel qualified to answer.

If you're going to lift, buy 315/75/16 (35") now. Unless you're going to do extreme wheeling you'll be fine on stock suspension in the meantime. Just installed my TJM 2" lift and I am so glad I have 35s.

Good choice. I have the same tires in a 315 and they're great for road duty and the minimal amount of off-road use they've seen so far.

So there it is, with the Falkens. Since my chick bought me the tires I thought I would return the favor and buy myself new wheels ;)

Here is my 80 a week after i got it, 315's and removal of flares. They didn't rub on the flares, i just didn't like them and realized i'd break the flares on rocks soon enough anyways!

My Tyre Options

Here are my tyre choices.

Regular on-road, sand and easy to medium off road tracks, Pro Comp 305 70 R16 on the alloy rims.

And for more agressive off road stuff I have the Simex Jungle Trekker 2, 34" x 11.5" x 16". I had to instal a 2" body lift to stop the tyres hitting on the flares.

Funny that the Xtreme terrains are your "mild" tire!:grinpimp:
Those simex come in some wild sizes:

These are great road tires that are surprisingly good off-road. They have really really thick sidewalls so don't be afraid to air them down to 12 psi and be amazed how good these tires and old girl handle off-road.

You know, @SeaDevil posted that over 5 years ago. He was last seen a year and a half ago.......

LOL didn't see that on my phone. Oh well, still good tires.

Yeah, I forgot that I can't see that stuff when I'm on my phone too.

It's all good!
