Current sample is definitely taller than the 1st repro. Matches up with the original pretty well. Please PM if you'd like me to send you a small piece to look at. Going to install in one of the cruisers this week to test the fit of the top seal.

Looks pretty darn good to me. Keep us posted on the fit up of the top piece. Thanks again for your work on this.

Personally I'm not too concerned with seeing a sample. If it looks good to you, I would trust your judgement. As long as it fits good I'm sure it will be perfect. Definitely interested in seeing the pic's of it installed. With any luck I will be assembling a freshly restored and painted corrugated top in a couple weeks. This could be perfect timing

Thanks. I am going to request that the manufacturer goes to production. Right now I have interest for about 30 sets---definitely enough to make it worth it. Price will be $60 plus shipping. I'll use flat rate shipping through the USPS which I believe is around $15 and is good for the continental US. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress. I'm hoping things go a little faster with the production run.

Order was placed on Monday. I'll let everyone know when the seals arrive.

The manufacturer is interested in trying a soft durometer EPDM for the verticals. I think this would be more durable than OE. Still trying to get the original seal back. I'll keep you guys posted.

Ok, had to work out some issues with pricing, but they are resolved. Pricing is still 60+shipping. Order is made and paid, production is authorized. I was quoted 5 weeks until delivery. I will keep you guys posted on that.

My contact with the other manufacturer is out I the office until June 11. Apparently he is the only one that can locate the original vertical seal. I'll continue to "coordinate" with them to get the seal back to the EPDM extruded to work up a sample.

Some news in the verticals. Finally talked to the company that had the NOS seal last. They said they have it with their die maker for a quote. Told them to arrange to send it back to the EPDM manufacturer if they aren't going to provide me with pricing and minimum quantity. They committed to do make arrangements to ship it right away. Even if they give me a reasonable price, I'm not sure I want to deal with them.

Horizontal seals are in!!

Price is $60 per set (one 15' piece, you cut to fit). Flat rate shipping anywhere in the US is $11.35 for one set, $15.45 for two. PM for a quote if you want more than two sets or need shipping to a non-USA address. I should be able to ship in 1-2 business days of receiving payment.

A couple notes:

1. The seals arrived coated with powder from the extruding process. This will wash right off.

2. The EPDM Manufacturer finally received the foam vertical seals and is working on pricing. I will start a separate thread on that once i get some more info. Since the EPDM will be stiffer than the OEM foam, I may try to have a small void in the cross section so the seal will compress properly.
