I am running a set of 33x10.5 r 15 bfg AT on the factory fj60 wheels. I am trying to get the tires to wear even. I have dropped tire pressure down. But can't seem to find the sweet spot. I know this combo has been tried and true and people have ran these. I don't want to change wheels. If anyone can please help before I buy new wheels.

I use the chalk method. Air your tires up higher than normal and the run a line of chalk across all of the tires. Then on pavement or cement going straight for 100 feet get them to where the chalk is all gone except for about 1/4 inch on the inside and outside edges of the tire tread.. Write down the pressures and be done.

I know I was trying to run for even wear when I first put my 33x10.5 ATs on my 40/55 steelies. They are 5.5" wide, so I think that is 1/2 inch narrower than the 60 series wheels.
Then I got caught up in some serious side wind in Wyoming and it felt pretty bad. I bumped the pressure back up and it feels better.
I think I was running 26-28 psi and went up to 32.

I will try this need area to do. Very good information...thanks

Pablo are you getting even wear?

Seems like a legit method. Your best bet for good wear is to not use BFGs. The most over rated AT.

I ran a set of Super Swampers on a F250, brand new to Baja and back, 6,000 miles and threw them away when I got back. Totally worn out. That was in 1990, so maybe they have changed by now.

I'm running with the BFG MT's on the 55, so far 4 years old and many miles of pushing back and forth in the shop and they still look good! :)

I have Cooper STT which are a lot more aggressive than your usual All-terrain. The Cooper AT3 or ATP are great tires and they are cheaper than bfgs. We use them on our Tundras and Rams. These do well on and off road and are quiet throughout its life. My STT are actually really quiet and I've had them for a year almost, and look brand new. Check out this comparison.

I'm running the same tire. I want to say I have 35 psi in all four.
I have the BFG A/T KO2 on my 15' F150. Super awesome tire and much better than the regular KO
