I'm looking at a few options on eBay, but I wanted to poll the group if anyone has a good experience with authentic sheepskin covers that are made for the 100?

Cheers!

This is quote from last July, I have not purchased but I’m saving my pennies.
2ish week lead time, $1100usd

2 x Front bucket seats + headrests is AU$1500.00
  • 1 x centre Console cover is AU$100.00
  • 2 x seat belt covers - FREE if you place an order

I just ordered these from US Sheepskin. They are full sheepskin. Install was easy and fit is good.

They are currently on sale for 20% off.

I have the US Sheepskin installed as well. Here is a photo of them as installed last December. Pretty sure I purchased them during the same sale (I paid $320). Very happy with them and would buy again.

I just received my sheep skin covers from Amazon, I'll install tomorrow and post pics. Thought I would give them a try for $139 a pair, we will see how they look and feel.

I used to poopoo sheepskin covers when I'd see them on old Mercedes as a kid. Ugly looking.

But then I sat on a set. They're glorious. I want a black set for my 560.
That how I always felt. When we got our 100 series, the wife wanted a set so we got it. Would never got back.

Being in the southest/westest of the country, any heat issues with this style?
IMO, they breathe a lot better than just sitting on leather, and are thus cooler than just leather (or vinyl, yuck). I am in Tucson and I am a fan. They also keep the seat from heating up too much (as leather will) if the sun shines on it for a bit in the summer.

We do a good mix of the temperature extremes and it’s super comfortable year round. In the winter it is like a warm blanket. In the summer it is much cooler than the leather and plastic bits in the car.

I really like the look of these. Are these the "ready fit" or the tailored version which runs more? Thanks

If you've never had them they are fantastic in all weather conditions.....one caution. If you are a taller person, these will slightly raise your sitting position in the vehicle and our 100s are already a "tall" sitting position. I don't think they would be applicable for me, in my rig, and I'm 6'2".

Just food for thought. But I sure did love them in my old BMW 2002.

They are the ready made version. I figured if they didn’t fit well I could exchange them for the tailor made ones, but they fit great.

The install is very easy, maybe a half 🍌 job. You will need to remove the headrest. I took the armrest off as well to make it easier. The armrest is just one bolt with a plastic bushing to control alignment (pretty easy to reinstall, but can take a little finessing). Once the cover is slipped over and in a position you like, you cut little holes for the headrest mounts to pop through. The side armrest does not need any holes cut. It took a bit of work to get the covers positioned, but they look fantastic. I did screw up the headrest position by a half inch on the passenger seat, but it’s not really noticeable and I’m just a perfectionist.

OK..that helps alot. I'm sold so I'll be ordering today, just in time for our cold spell. Thanks.

I have a 2000 so no seat airbags. I do believe there is an option on most seat cover websites for them to provide the pocket for the airbag. I believe the airbag is just in the upper seat back portion and not in the lower seat bottom portion.
