Other than DOG as copilot, best free "mod" is a PROPER valve adjustment. Often overlooked, 'cuz a bit of a PITA to do, and do right, but can really make a tired engine come alive.

While you're there, check the torque on the head bolts.

Split the fan shroud.

remove the swaybar is pretty much the only free mod I've done other than removing chunks of the truck with a sawzall.

Removing the factory insulation - free.

You have your own dry ice? :flipoff2:

 Hammer and chisel my friend, that's all I used to do the middle. Took for fxxxing ever, but it worked. Next go around, I'll use dry ice.

In my particular case, I spilled about a gallon and a half of motor oil all over the back of my truck. The oil soaked into this tar crap and made it impossible to get clean. I opted to remove all of it.

Moonshine is not any louder as a result, but she's not a quiet girl either. I will remove all of the insulation to make way for Raptor Liner.

sheesh. Dry ice is cake.

You spend more time repositioning the ice then you do actually striking it :P

White paint on the timing mark and bb on the flywheel. Makes timing and finding TDC so much easier.

Removed carpet
Removed window tint
Removed rust
Hard to add stuff without spending money.....

I think removing rust costs quite a lot in most cases :o

I got another free mod.......
I find the beeping that is going on when the engine is off and the key is in the ignition switch VERY anoying.
Pulling the connector out of the seat belt warning relay (behind the side panel on the passenger side) is a solution but there is a way to put this relay to good work.
Just cut the red/white wire and connect this to a lights related (+) wire.
This way the relay beeps when the engine is off and the light are on.
Never forget to switch off the lights again !!!!!
