I found a variety of answers based on different year 100s and the stock wheel size but since this a recent thread...i have an '06 with the 18"wheel. So stock says 275/60/18, looks like some of the people on this thread are running wider? I don't want any rub issues, I'm not doing a build (yet). So would I be fine at 275/65/18 or even 275/70/18 on a stock rig?

thanks in advance

BTW, pretty sure I'm going with the Toyo AT2s

Yes to both you could also get 265/70/18's

Two questions:

1. How do the Duratracs do in rain? Here in TN we get a lot of rain, and the BFG AT's on my Jeep haven't been all that impressive in rain. They are amazing in snow, not so much in rain.

2. Is the correct size for an 05 LX (w/ AHC) w/ stock wheels 275/70/18?

Love them in the rain, better than BFG at getting rid of water IMHO. I have one SUV with Pirelli scorpion tires and one with BFG AT and my 100 with the Duratracs. Stock AHC 275/70-18. Best tire I have ever owned and it's comfortable, perfect size tire too. Duratracs have significantly deeper tread grooves.

I'm running 285/65-18 E-rated SilentArmors on my LX. No rubbing and the spare fits too. The change from P-rated tires feels very similar to when I made the same change on my '05 Sequoia: a little bit firmer but in a good way, less vague, floaty and squishy and slightly more "truck-y." Passengers won't notice the difference in the ride. The SilentArmors are quiet, good in a wide variety of surfaces including wet or snowy pavement (they are mountain/snowflake rated) and seem to be very durable.

I just bought 275/70/18 BFG AT/KO's, was looking at the Duratrac's but long term wear was a concern and narrower tread width, about 1/2" at this size. Plus the BFG's were $50 per tire cheaper. Both look great on the 100. The 295/65/18's were $100 per tire more then the BFG's and are out of stock nationally.

I have Cooper ATPs (275/65/18) on our Cruiser and love them. love the way they look and the way the work on and off road, rain and mud. Have not tried them on snow. I also have the Duratracs on my 4Runner and like them as well for same reasons, but the on road feel you get from the Cooper ATPs just feels a little better IMHO.. Price was a little more for the Coopers though..

I currently run with BFG AT KO 285/65/18s with AHC. No rubbing or any other issues but think I may go with the Toyo OC ATII as they are a great tire and good tread life as well.

I've been extremely happy with 275/70/18 Duratracs. Great off-road, mud, rain and snow. I've not played to much in the snow yet other than some short stints at high elevation. I have approx. 5K miles on them now. Quite for such an aggressive tread patten. No rubbing what so ever and spare fit in OEM location

-lifted and UCA's

One more vote for BFGs a AT/KO's 275-70/18

One more vote for 275/70R18. I really wanted the 285/75R18 but there would be too much drama involved in fitting that big of tire.

Just go with BFG All Terrains. You will get the most wear, quietest ride, best all season, best mud and snow (better with a Mud Terrain).
My wife has BFG All Terrains on her 98 LC and I have 35" BFG Mud Terrains on my 98 LC.
That's the only off road tire I buy. Been using them for decades!

A noteworthy bump... The KO2 is available for pre-order on tire rack, with a release date of 11/10. Should hit the showrooms soon. Sure am glad I've drug me feet on new treads...

I don't see the KO2 offered in 275/70-18. Hopefully it will be added to the lineup soon.

I see them listed on BFG's website, so hopefully soon.

BFG says they will be released in 275/70-18 in March 2015. Hopefully we will have some solid reviews by then too.

Well, I received my 285/75/16 KO2's today, and I hoped to have a report on the feel of them by tomorrow evening, but--reality had something different in mind. I turned my torsion bars and took the Cruiser in for an alignment and got the worn steering rack bad news.

So, hopefully my parts get here soon and I can enjoy my new shoes!!
