I found this on local Craigslist, offered the lady $40 for it. Now I just have to figure out how to mount it to my 87 Pickup. Any ideas?

start with a sawsall, drill, nuts and bolts. If all else fails get a welder,,,,

uhhh, yeah. Looking for a little more than that!!!

What was it built for? I would assume it would require a lot of fab work to get it to fit your truck. Doesn't look like it was made to bolt up on a Toyota. Do you have a welder? Cutting tools?

How's it look?

That is some serious beef, elk beware when you come rolling down the road - it looks like they used a c-channel frame rail from an F150 to make it

That is awesome!
IMHO, just clear-coat it as is, then throw on some red blotches that look like blood, then you'll scare away those annoying slow drivers who cut you off and drive 10 under.

Are they hiring extras for the next Mad Max movie?

Seriously, that thing does look good!!! Nice work!

Nice, I think you just named my truck! I am going to throw some black primer on it today to cover up the bare metal. Yeah, now I need a winch. Still am thinking about the SAS and the 3.4 swap.

you really should consider beefing up the front of the truck if your going with a winch.:)

We are planning on doing that when we have some more time available in the body shop and access to all the tools. We have to take the entire thing off and do some more welding to beef it up, and the frame. Any places in particular you think I should beef the frame up at?

cool

The crossbar running across the front is a huge weak point, I have seen them seperate even if the load was not directly on them.

Heck plate going all the way across to the both sides of the frame should be good enough.

My next mod is to weld l-pieces all the way across and attach it next to the spring mounts/frame.

painted it today with rattle can black primer and installed some extra lights.

Hack off about 4" from either side and give it a nice little upward angle and you'd have yourself a much nicer and lighter bumper. Thing does look crazy stout though, but way oversized for a mini-toy.

It only ways about 150 pounds. I think it is just what I was looking for and found it! I am happy and that Is all that matters.
