OK, my turn now.
I didn't take any pics on Old Cup Valley Rd or Jasper trail so mine start at the end of Pinyon Wash, not to be confuesed with Pinyon Mtn. Rd., where Kevin, AKA Boston wanted to get some shots of his new tent.

Kevin left after those first 4 trails and Reid, Gene, & I continued onto Buttes Trail Rd. and down The Slot.

At the bottom we had lunch

After lunch we jammed over to Sand Stone Canyon were we found the big rocks. Or more like they found us....

I guess a bolder jumped out and got my bumper corner.

Nic pics, I would like to do a Sat-Sun run before the season closes( Maybe 5/5-5/6 or 5/12 - 5/13), When is that and who knows the trails? I know Brent and Scott may also be interested.

IIRC, Lower Coyote closes June 1st - Oct 1st. Scott (rckcrwlr) knows the trails. If I get permission, I'd be down for another run.

BTW: For those who went on the Sandstone Canyon run in late Jan, We went farther up the canyon than last time. Could have gone farther, but we were already past our 'deadline' for getting out of there.

Looks like I saw this thread a couple weeks too late!

Anyone interested in going out this Saturday (Jun. 2) for a day run? I would like to check out this Jasper trail and probably drop down into ocotillo wells. There are some really neat areas around sandstone canyon, fish creek wash, diablo dropoff. Last time I was out there, we headed up towards the back side of pinyon mtn. We had tried to get there off of S2, but there is this little obstacle called the squeeze (I didn't want to attempt it with my tundra). We have been doing a few exploratory trips and are fairly familiar with the area south of 78 and east of S2.

We usually leave around 7:00ish from the Miramar area, but can meet up anywhere in between.
