Got these in Perdido, haven't seen 'em anywhere else. Good warm weather brew. Not as hoppy as the label implies, but still good. Not as heavy as a lot of the summer ales out there. Nice smooth finish like you'd expect from Newcastle.

400 Pound Monkey

Tried some of this tonight. Better than average IPA. Give it a B+.

Agree Chris. Smiey face was to show it was a joke. Enjoying sam adams coastal wheat on the beach now. Very nice.

They finally announced that the next Top of the Hops is going to be July 28, 2012.

For those that did the VIP tickets, did you think it was worth the extra $40?

New Beer Law?

So you guys will have real beer on the shelves and on tap on July 1st? :hhmm:

I'd give is a week or two after the first "man"

LOL. Thanks. I'll try to plan my travels accordingly.

As you were, dudes.

I've heard talk that Southern Beverage will have trucks ready to roll with new offerings as soon as the end of the month gets here. I suspect those will be beers from Abita, Boston Brewing, Sierra Nevada, Rogue, etc. who have beers that we can't get, like Abita's Abbey Ale and their Save Our Shores or most of what Rogue is putting out elsewhere.

I bet it will be a while before we can get harder to find beers. But I hope it's not too long.

Rogue and Sierra Nevada both have several respectable brews in their lineup. Certainly a good start.

I'd be willing to bet no outlets in Laurel will be stocking craft beers. Probably have to travel to Hattiesburg for a decent brew, unless SHUSH decides to open a beer emporium in Laurel. ;)
