oh dear Lord here it comes..........

Hope this doesn't lead to a trainwreck... I'ma do it anyway...

As a man that typically drinks Bud Light, I apparently have no taste. What are ya'lls thoughts on Yeungling? I can get this beautiful beer in Memphis, and I quite enjoy it. There seems to be a small cult following for it, particularly from the CLC.

What do I need to know to be informed on this? Help me understand. Have I been fooled or is this considered good stuff? Again, my Bud Light taste buds don't always tell the truth.

Bud Light isn't real beer. It's colored water, corn water.

Yuengling Lager is a big step up. FWIW, it's low in ABV, so you can drink a lot of it without suffering the usual consequences.

I like beer but I hate the calories.

I also get real full drinking heavier beers.

I LOVE good beer but most is too heavy and expensive for me too drink more than a couple of.

For a cold crisp hit, American beer is fine for what I usually drink beer for.

Here on a trip? All local, all the time.

I appreciate the honest review of my revered Bud Light :o

Yeungling rated fairly well on the same site.

I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer corn water... :D

That's good, because there are hundreds of outstanding American craft beers to choose from, and you're about to get many of them in Mississippi.

^ where would you rate Fat Tire.....I drank it like it was my last day on earth the summer I spent along the Snake in JH.....can you get it down here?

If you're asking me, yes, we have Fat Tire in Texas. No idea whether you'll get it in Mississippi. It's better than average, a solid B. 2 Below Winter Ale from New Belgium was our "official" Cruiser club beer a couple of years ago. Unfortunately it's a seasonal.

If you're an amber fan, Saint Arnold's Amber would be an equally worthy and possibly better choice than Fat Tire, if you could get it. More flavorful and not as thin. I don't know their marketing area outside of Texas.

x2 on St. Arnold Amber. Finished my stash of it last night. Fat Tire isn't sold here yet, but the distributor who brings it in after July will make a killing. It has a huge following here--brought about 6 cases back from Colorado a few years ago for friends. Closest it's sold is Memphis I think. St. Arnold is available in New Orleans.

id love it if fat tire was available in mississippi

Have it.

Edit: it is a nice beer but I like the longboard best still.

Awesome. Official beer of the He Man Woman Haters Club

Little Rascals is the best movie !!! It's cool too that there is a burned up 40 at their clubhouse!!!

I got a batch of Caribou Slobber done last night; it always takes longer to brew than expected. The yeast is already bubbling after only a few hours. Last batch took a few days to start fermenting. Boy, I can't wait to drink this stuff!
