Bed crossmember supports factory primer

Figured I’d share before I dispose of the original bed. I was curious if there was primer from the factory inside the support crossmembers so I cut one open to look. It’s there.

I dispose of the original bed.

Why?

Because, like almost everything on the truck, it was a total coverup job. Rot, dents, bad patches, 20lbs of bondo, but newish paint. The firewall was mostly good.
