So when are we opening up our business again??

About 6.5 years when my next additional service obligation is up for the Army. Until then I will keep dreaming of awesome vehicles that we need to build up and the cool places we need to go.

Placed the last ever order for parts today. Getting the new brake light/turn signals on their way. Not the last needed...just the last I'll be purchasing for it.

It is sad seeing the project wind down. I've been daily driving it for a few weeks now and wish I had more space time here to work on it. It has been fun to drive something I have seen come such a long way in a short time. I know the wife will be happy to see this one go though.

I will be hopping back into my Big diesel truck and though it has AC and keeps the rain off it just won't be the same. I'm just glad the wife is on board and letting me keep the FJ43. She is actually excited to get that one going and making it a part of our family forever. This was a great learning experience and will make the FJ43 that much easier.

Thank you to all that helped me along this journey and for the words of encouragment from those I didn't know along the way.

Well i finally got the lights on. I'll have to take a picture later. I ordered them from CCOT and the new housings did not come with nuts for the bolts. So I found some small nuts I had and then measured the threads. It is Standard oddly enough. I pulled out my drill and then tapped 8 new nuts. I had some PO wiring to figure out and clean up but it is all working well now minus turn signals which I still need to put in a new relay.

Anyway great end to the build experience and can't wait to start the next.

Going up for Sale effective immediatly :frown:

Great thread!! What color is that?

It is called Greyish Green I believe. The color code from PPG is 45894 OEM code is 6H9.

How much are you asking for it?

I will be posting a thread here today. But does 12.9K OBO sound reasonable. With the markets the way they are these days I have no idea what is a 5K vehicle and a 25K vehicle. I figure this is somewhere in the middle.

Sound to far off to you?

my favorite combo ...green and black. Like the rig love the build. good luck in your travels.

I'm so jealous! You have inspired me to get busy!

Very good build. I like the transformation.

That sounds pretty fair... I think you'd get close to that with the hard top on and complete.

It actually sold a couple of weeks later. Been without a cruiser for a long time. A lot of change in life the last year. I own a few cruisers yet not a one of them in my driveway at this time. Just another day in the military.

Thank you for all of the comments. I really loved that cruiser and it is in a better home now. The new owner is giving her what she really needed, things that I couldn't afford. Hard work and labor can only go so far sometimes. It is now in SC and need to dig around to see what he has done to it.

A landcruiser owner and his money shall soon be parted. Mine was bad too but she is coming along now, just taking the summer off and to shore up some more cash before I start again next winter. Pace yourself, and be prepared to spend buckets of cash. Good luck and I'm looking forward to watching this build come together.
