I have a diehard marine 34 m. It's been in since 2010. When I leave for a few weeks the battery is dead. I charge it up and drive it without issues. The problem is that I now think of it as unreliable since it dies after 2.5-3 weeks of sitting
The Interstate Megatron 27F has only 710CCA for $130 at my local outfit. I can get the same CCA out of a Kirkland Group 24F for $85 + $9 core and same or better warranty. I'll have to see if they have a non badged 27F with same rating for less coin.
FWIW, Sears has both the Platinum 34s on sale for $172.49

The auto has a 4 year warranty.
The marine has a 3 year warranty, so Pkelly you might be able to squeeze a replacement out of them just before your warranty is up.

I was wrong. The PO bought it on 8/2008. So it's 5 years old. Not bad really. I would buy one again but I'd look at my other options first.
