Looked up web site for Paramint Days. Great video of some rock crawlers going up to a very cool mine. Short wheel base crawlers definitely have an advantage in in large rock conditions. 40 years younger and I’d make an attempt.

Trying to maintain a balance between a beauty princess and a remote camping pig is a challenge when I still have the mentality of a 15 year old. Last trip was a wakeup call when as to how the odds in my life of player hard can catch up to me.

Still hoping to do Mengal pass area some time. But not solo.

My kids bought me a Makita ratchet (3/8 and 1/4) as a bday gift. It's a great tool with a pretty slim head for access. Works great when you need to undo a bunch of bolts/nuts. Quite a fast action and reasonably quiet. Easier than firing up the compressor and pulling airline for my old air ratchet.

And ^, Mengel pass is a pretty easy road. Did it Mar this year in my 80 on my own. It's not particularly remote and someone will be going by at least once a day (maybe not mid summer though...). I have my own health issues, but didn't consider it to be a risky choice, though I don't know your history.

cheers,
george.
