Just talked to Shawn, he had a brain fart and thought the trip was the 16th &17th. The trip should get posted to the BBCNN site tonight.

Well, we are going to have a slight change in plans...we are going to meet you guys at the AM-PM in Minden. We are going to go down on Friday night and stay with Darcie's parents. So Dan, no worries about keeping it at 60mph for us
Pretty much loaded and ready to go, just have to add food and frozen bottles to the cooler.
I've been a little busy the past week or so, I finally got some new rubber on the Taco and I was able to pick up a camper shell for it. I'm looking forward to this weekend.

I think we are the only ones leaving from Reno (me, Rusty and you chicago). I saw Rusty late this afternoon and I will be at his house to pick up Jake at 7:30AM and leave promptly there after (no stops for gas, ice, etc until Minden)...no later than 7:40AM. It would be best if you were already iced up and ready to go...and either meet us at Rusty's house (which would involve backtracking assuming you are going to get ice at or near Wallymart) or meet out on Hwy 395 along the way...or worst case meet at Minden? Channel 3 on CB. I wish you had a 2M...then we would be virtually guaranteed of being able to communicate more than a mile or so; you better ad that one to your ever expanding list of "to-dos". Or bring your cell phone....I just PM'd you mine.
Man I still have a bunch of s*** to do. . .
but I am super pumped!

We run CB ch 3. I will be on 146.460 simplex (hear that Krokar?!). I just got my 2m in and haven't spent any time getting repeaters figured out yet. And my cell is 775-530-6176...don't know how the cell coverage is in M-Ville...probably not good.
Actually...Dan (krokar...) has the repeater book...Dan: If you read this would you check the Markleeville area for available repeater(s) and post up please?

I'd post up my cell but it's about worthless when I'm at highway speed in the 40.
In fact most communication is lost at any speed over 45MPH in the 40. Still on the fence about putting the TSL's back on for this run they add another few hundred dB to the noise level.

Do you know where the big dirt parking lot is at the end of Tabeau rd and hwy88 on the east end of pine grove is? Otherwise, we can meet up in town somewhere.

Well theres several possability's as far as repeaters go Placerville and Minden both have several repeaters wont really know till we get into the area by the way for all the reno Crew 147.060 + pl is 123 is linked to silversprings reapeter and you can talk to me in Fallon on that repeater anyway cant wiat till Sat in so looking forward to this run and ill be bringing repeater book with me

The 40 is loaded and sitting in the dirve way waiting paitently. All that is left for the AM is loading the Ice Chest.
