Just remembered that the Baja 1000 is on TV tomorrow. I looked up in the listings and on Cox in SD and it is at 11:00am.

Guess I'll have to watch "Dust to Glory" tonight after watching "The Long Way Round" last night and make it a trifecta.:D

I have it Tivo'd...great show, BUT it only focused on trophy trucks and motorbikes. Barrily talked about other vehicles non the less showing them. Didn't have anything you couldn't youtube or the like.

Yeah, it really did. There was a little bit on VW Bug's. I guess it's hard to include footage and info about other classes when you only have an hour w/ commercials.
 
Yeah, kind of disappointing.

It would be nice if a station like Versus would pick up the ball and do a week long coverage of the 1000 highlighting a different class each night.

Oh well, have to wait for the Dakar rally coverage.
 
Did anyone else think that the announcer was sort of lame?

I noticed that the Baja 250 is going back to San Felipe this year. I am digging that since that is the one race I try to attend every year. And last year in Ensenada was really draining. Now my friends and I can go back to our beach camp that we are used to and love.

"Two Roads to The Taupo 1000" is on Speed towards the end of the month. The Taupo 1000(km) is a bi-annual event in New Zealand. This show looks to be a sequel to "Two Roads To Baja" w/ the Millen and Necessary teams

Hope it is better coverage then that lame @ss Baja 1000 show we got to see. Maybe they were on a low budget?

If it is anything like 'Two Roads To Baja', it will be good. Did you pickup the DVD at the Toyota 50th event?

Hmmmmm, i maybe racing a bike @ the 250 (part of a relay team).

Yeah, I am totally down to go to the 250. I am sooo Happy that it is back in Felipe.

All the stories coming out of the Hwy 1 area have even my friends who love Baja shaking their head NO. But Felipe is sort of out of that drug traffic ring and much safer in my opinion.

All the stories are of people traving solo (or very few rigs) in WEE hours of the night

yes it did, I have it in my car and every time LA traffic is in full effect I throw it on and dream of the tecate girls, roll cages, and roll overs:flipoff2:.... it's kind of funny b/c right when he rolls the FJ and he is talking about it I know EXACTLY how he is feeling. Thanks for the heads up on the road 2 showing. Tivo Record.
