Its ok, he is right to worry. I mean I do some pretty boneheaded things. Like for instance I was missing the oring that sits between the brake fluid bottle and the master cylinder so I whittled a new one from a gasket for a garden hose. Not leaking...yet.

Josh thats some creative thinking my friend. I wouldn't have thought of a garden hose for the O-Ring. As a back up plan I have a O-ring set next time you need one I'll be happy to give you what you need bud. :)

Thanks man, I apreciate it :D

Thinking of just calling toyota and ordering an O-ring incase it is suposed to be a special type of rubber to resist the brake fluid. I mostly just wanted to get the brakes bled so I could get it to the shop next thursday when I get home. I am not to worried in the short term, but I know with my luck as soon as I hit the trails it would/will fail on me ;).

Side note: Do you know of any kind of enclosure I could mount on the dash some switches? I considered just using a tupperware but that might be a little to ghetto even for me. I thought about just bending a piee of diamond plate into an L, but I think an enclosure would be easier to keep the wires neat.

Post up a pick of how your dash is layed out and we'll give you some input. You don't have to spend much money and can get creative. I wasn't a fan of the switches on the shifter trim trying to restab your transfer shifter. I don't know your radio situation but those spots make great panel location to ease of reaching and wiring in the dash. Quick search for an example below. I've used black abs and a reg peice of alumn while taking a wire wheel and clear coat to give a brushed alumn look in the past. I put the black rubber door strips that fit on the slim edge of the doors as a trim around the alumn and it worked out well. Just a few ideas.

Thats the thing, I broke the shifter trim so those switches are jsut loose atm, plus even before that broke all my switches quit working.

I have a CD player in it I would like to keep, I am thinking of pulling the AC controlles out and making a switch pannel to go in the place of that and the clock. My other thougth would be to take a sawzall to the AC vents in the center and make a pannel there so that I would keep control of where the heat is blowing so I could still use my defroster and heater.

The way I am thinking I need a switch for each of the three windows, Rocklights, Radio, and I was thinking of wireing in winch controls into the cab. so that would be six switches if I don't think of anything else I would like to add. that could get a small area crouded fast.

P.S. Not my truck, thats way to clean.

What about the space below where the factory radio is? That way you can keep the controls for the vents.:meh: Where is your c.b. mounted ? Post up some pictures of the dash area so we can look at rearranging the switches.

The area below my radio I currently have the two door window switches and a 12 volt outlet. my CB is mounted to my glove box door. I will see if I can get someone to take a picture of my dash, otherwise it will have to wait till I go home on wednesday.

My little brother took some pictures so here are the pictures of my for real actual dash.

The switch pannel under the radio is currently my Front windows. I could probably put my Rear window and radio switches along side of them letting me put more switches in the new pannel. (where ever that ends up.)

The wires running past the shifter are going to the switches that were mounted in the shift bezzle. Trust me, they where hidden at one point.:D

In my opinion Josh I'd convert the elec windows to manual and make you a new switch panel in the same place you could keep your 12v outlet and add 3 or more switches for what you need as you need.

Or keep them with a panel like above and relocate your 12v outlet to the console area or do a dual outlet in the console area never hurts to have an extra :)

go with Larry`s second idea also put your inverter in console as well

Well, gears and all are in. allI can say is WOW. I was not expecting the huge difference, it feels even more like driving a tractor now :D

I have ridden in trucks with 5.29s and larger tires, with my 32's it feels like the little hamster under the hood is about to have a heart attack. might have to move the larger tires a little higher on my priorities after having driven the thing.

 good to hear Josh. Did they do your spool and lockers as well. Keep your eye out for some used 35 - 38's then you'll be talking :) thats alot of gear with those tires. I've been glancing around for used 315's if I run into something I'll PM you. :)

Oh yes, the spool and locker is in there already. I am not sure that I would want to step all the way up to 38's (actually I want to bad but I don't think the stock birfs would survive) Plus then I would have to do the rears in front to move my axle forward to get it out of the firewall, and then because of that I would have to put the high steer to be able to still have steering after that. Figured up my taxes last night and my return is lack luster at best, was going to get the high steer and tires with it but it is just going to cover tires, maybe.
