New build starting, the customer actually requested I do a build thread! 😎🤙

It already has a 1HDT swapped in it, performed by the current owner. @joekatana imported it originally. It’s a 1991 Euro PZJ75, so it had a 1PZ and R151 originally, it is 24v, has elockers, now has a H55 & split case behind the 1HDT. After import it was engine swapped with a 1HZ which got pulled and swapped to the 1HDT. So it has had three engines but I would say this 1HDT is the last engine for it, at least for the next decade or two!

Fair amount of work planned including an aluminum Aussie style bed.

In case you are not familiar with the old story, this is where I came up with the nickname.

Looks like we are going to do this so we can fit a good top mount intercooler.

Is the owner from Ft. Davis, TX? I recall having driven in it.

Following along

When I was a young man my dad had a 1974 blue crew cab short bed Ford 4x4
It had the same name 😁

I’ll try to get my questions approved by the authorities going forward.

Always look at the following: Separate fenders or integrated fenders.

When you look at trucks that way, it’s always apparent the answer.

Like dials, knobs, buttons, HOCUTS, pedals, and joysticks.

Beno just gives us more credit than we're due. We can't all be Land Cruiser Rainman. :)
To be honest, Rainman wasn’t the first word that came to mind.

I’m not rain man. I’m just as dumb as anyone else.

But a quick look at the picture is very obvious it’s a pre-2007 truck.

Hello,

Now that is understatement.

The mark of a true warrior is simplicity...

I have been wanting to do the same scoop on my early 79 series hood (same). I believe the Fiberglass Factory in AU makes both the scoop and the hood with the 79 series intercooler scoop built in. I have a topmount cooler, but it has a dorky hood scoop.
