went to go see McFarland at the drive in tonight...and it features an FJ45 truck...when I mentioned it to Tracy Lynn she said she didn't care. Oh well...she just doesn't appreciate a sweet rarish cruiser in a movie! And McFarland was an excellent movie...

It's ok my wife feels bad so maybe now I can talk her into letting me get a cheap welder to learn on =D

Thought you were talking about a car. I'd be careful with homeowners. How much is the TV worth compared to your deductible? I know of people getting dropped on homeowners for to many claims.

Have to keep my deductible really damn high to keep the insurance reasonable. TV wouldn't come close.

Ours is only 100$ deductible the tv is like 900 USAA is really good about the renters insurance and since this is the first claim we have had they said it shouldn't be an issue. Fingers crossed anyways.

Yea, for renters, and that low deductible, go for it.

Anyone here a self taught welder? I've read around and seems a mug welder is a good start for just learning and basic metal fab any advice on the topic would be awesome

I'm betting a lot of us are self taught. I have the Haynes welding book, it's pretty good, very layman style. They sell them at the auto parts store. All mig welder I have seen have settings inside the wire spool cavity door, gets you pretty close to where you need to be.

I know it's hard to do, but try to avoid a Harbor Freight welder. If you keep an eye on CL you might find a deal on a decent brand name machine. Leon just sold a nice 120 volt machine at s reasonable price. Think it was a Lincoln? ToolKing.com has pretty good deals on Hobart machines, I bought mine refurbished there 12 years ago, still a great machine, and you can save shipping by picking up in denver.
