Y'all ever have any Saturdays free to grab a beer? Might be a good idea for the yocals to get together at a Twin Peaks, Hooters, or maybe something safer (for the significant other's sakes) for a drink and lunch. Saturdays, locations, and times are flexible by me but ya'll gotta be willing.

If you guys have any interest (or time free) post on up and we'll see if we can get together.

Great way to meet the group. Just put something together . It doesnt always have to be about wrenchin.Ill try but it is a busy season .

Great idea. I am always jealous of the Austin club that meets every week at a brewpub. Maybe we find a recurring day of the month and start a tradition

Count me in. Past clubs I've been in have done something like that. I'm in South Overland Park. 135th and Quivira. If you're interested, where are you located so we can find something central.

Good little group going! Rob, you in brother?

Location is flexible for me. I think Erik might be the outlier in the group. Anywhere like 435 and metcalf might be the "middle" but tough to say.

Thoughts? Days? Holidays make it a little tougher but we can free ourselves for a few hours on a Saturday

I am always willing if I am off duty. I am pretty flexible on the area. If I am not off duty then hopefully I can make the next one.

I love beer! I'd be willing to make the trip out from Odessa. I can drag Jobe and Ellmaker along too.

One of my core values is the ability to consume high alcohol content beer . . . . i'm in.

I am also researching the viability of starting a Cidery in Stilwell -- perhaps I can get some guinea pigs from these meetings for samples with feedback.

Just set something up. Rotate around the metro a bit see if you can get some more get togethers goin. There are a few cool micro's in the area. And wineries as well.

Some suggestions:

For South OP and Belton/Martin City area: the Martin City Brewing Co has some fun stuff on tap.

For Waldo area, either 75th St or Waldo Pizza have some good beers on tap.

Downtown has the Flying Saucer in P&L

West Port has The Foundry

SW JoCo has the Barley's Brewhouse's with a large selection of beer.

Game for any of these locations! My buddy just opened up the District Pour House and it's pretty damn awesome. It's in that Waldo brookside area. $8/ infusion drinks that are really damn good

I left town for Thanksgiving and thought for sure you guys would get together that weekend. Well... is Martin City Brewing far enough East to reel in you Missouri guys without losing to many Kansas guys? What's tomorrow (12/7/13) looking like?

Chime in if mid day or evening is better. And if you can make it where you are coming from. If everyone is coming from the same general direction we can adjust accordingly.

In summary I propose Martin City Brewing at Lunch time. I'm in S. OP

Mea Culpa. I didn't say a time. If anyone comes, I'm in the front room to the right of the door.

Ah s***, I didn't end up going since we didn't confirm anything. We should set something in stone for a later date.

Anybody have tomorrow or next Saturday open?

I can't make it tomorrow, but I might be able to make next Saturday work.

That's perfect... Let's start something for Saturday, December 14 around noon for Martin City Brewery. If you're flexible for a different time, post up and we'll try to accommodate . I'm flexible on both location and time at this point.

I do agree that gatherings for other than wheeling/wrenching are good. Adding beer, better. Yeah a few of us are outside the KC Area but now worries. We will make it when we can.
I think my next available will be 15 DEC or weekend of 21-22 DEC. Any Federal holiday should be good, also.
