X2 Archie, time to let the Alcans go and put some softness into the ole 40 for me too.
Sweet- when you order a set, get me some too. I’m good for it….

I searched marketplace for a year and picked up some 14" Radflo 2.0', remote res, with dual spring sliders NIB for 800. Pieced everything else on black friday last year and got all the links, ends, brackets, & towers for 1,000 ish. Just need bumps & limits and I'm ready to assemble. It's reworking the brakes, air, & fuel systems to do the 4 link & co's that drives me crazy. Hey it took 20+ years but I saved some $ eh.

I’m hoping that not being in a rush lets me find some deals like that. Or I’ll get to the point of needing stuff and get the best deal I can.

Wait, hold on…….you have a double ended ram acting as the tie rod and hydro assist? With a standard drag link and a ported box running it?
I have a pass through Sweet valve and a manual steering box. Valve controls ram and box keeps it "4500" class legal. I guess you could do it with a PS gear box, maybe?? My set up is from PSC.

Yes. I just need to get the other project moving under its own power first. And steering. And stopping. Oh and fix the 40. I’m gonna start on the truck in this thread, but it is gonna stay in line behind the other two.

My hope in this thread is to work my mind around staying with LC axles and the splitcase/9.5 thirds I already have OR go tons & atlas(?). If I can lock in a plan, I’ll start shopping marketplace. Coilovers are another area I need to do some research. Next…

Tell me about the axle build. Truss, knuckles, steering arms?
I took a Ford HP60 housing. Changed the tubes to make shafts more common Chevy length axle shafts and stronger 6 stud knuckles and spindles. Short side is stock, long side is 3" narrower. Artec top truss. I build the ram mount and bash bar on the housing. Ruffstuff diff cover. Yukon 5:38 gears, ARB air locker, 300M RCV shafts, Branik 14" brakes and Willwood 6 piston calipers. Artec steering arms, REID knuckles, 35 spline drive slugs, PSC 2.5" double ended ram. 66.5" wms 8 lug.
