The difference between TQ and HP figures with AWD and RWD are very similar. Driving a rear diff or a AWD vehicle really just just looks for the best (easiest) place to put the torque. Once the the HP takes over the TQ curve, you are no longer utilizing engine power to run AWD.

My EVO put down 375 hp at the wheels on a AWD dyno. It put down 385 removing the front diff and just the rear wheels on a TWD dyno.

I've seen the same figures on other vehicles with AWD.

How flexible is the tuning on this thing going to be? I see globs of gain up top, but I rarely take my LX over 3500rpm

What do you mean in terms of tuning. Where the power comes on is mostly a factor of turbo sizing. The tuning is for fuel delivery. One can tune the blowoff and actuator to make more boost, but it might not be advisable on a stock motor.

Yes, the figures look like most of the power is at the top, but now having driven the truck for 6 months and about 5k miles I am really happy. The truck runs the way it should have been from the factory. It cruises effortlessly at 70-90 mph, but if you need the power and you put your foot down, it just goes. Difficult to make the translation from graphs to real world.

I am averaging around 14.5 mpg for in town driving. I have not taken a road trip it in, so I don't know the freeway mileage.

Looks fine to me. Christo, do you have an estimated availability date? 3-6 months, 6-12 months?

Christo, what other mods have been done to this truck? I thought your LX was a 99? if you are getting 14+ with 315 and the additional lbs from the rack, bumpers etc that is impressive.

I have 2x100 kits and 2x 80 kits on the water. ETA in LA is 23rd Sep. Price not confirmed yet.

As for mileage of truck, I put it on my truck with 90 k miles on it.

Christo,
Am i reading this right. You might have a turbo kit for fzj80's?

Man-a-fre and slee with possible turbo kits.....this sounds to good to be true.

I knew you guys would drop the superchargers for turbo's, once you got to experience them :flipoff2:

I wouldn't hardly say that the superchargers are "dropped". We have one person testing a turbo (Slee). A new supercharger just hit the market and total cost of everything is less than $5000.

I'll certainly more excited about the turbo though...

the turbo/ supercharger thing has been a long running line, with me giving the US guys hassles about sticking with superchargers for so long, given the small amount of power they produce, vs the hassle, and cost, vs a turbo.

I had a turbo 1fz fe 95 model, in 96 running 10 psi boost, and if you have seen stormin Norman' you would know the truck, as Norman did that vid about 2 months after I sold it to him.
