It is with deep regret that I post this truck up for sale. I searched a long time for this particular setup, and the truck is in immaculate condition with original paint and rust-free. The reason I am selling is that I want to concentrate on my 1977 FJ40 build. And this truck is too nice to modify. It needs to go to someone who wants to continue to do tasteful mods, and appreciates the truck for what it is.

Asking Price: N/A

It is an original paint "Creme" (Color Code 557) 1983 Toyota Short Bed 4x4 DLX Pickup with a 5-speed transmission and 22R engine.

The truck was originally from Northern California where it spent the majority of it's life (hence rust-free). The previous owner (the owner I purchased from), moved the truck to Western Colorado, where it was garage-kept and where he did the interior modifications. I purchased the truck from the Colorado owner.

You can read in my build thread about a few tasteful mods I did to make the truck what it is now.

  • Brand New 33" BFG Mud Terrains
  • Brand New Wheel Vintiques steelie replica wheels
  • New James Dean Creations SR5 Graphics
  • Mild Skyjacker lift kit
  • New Line-X bedliner (to correct terrible bedliner applied by PO)
  • Round Headlight/Grille "back-date" (Original lights/grille included)
  • Full Dynamat insulation in the cab
  • Retro-Mod 4Runner Bucket Seats and Center Console
  • LCE Performance Carb and K&N Air Cleaner
  • LCE Performance Header
  • LCE Hi-Performance Catalytic Converter
  • LCE PCV valve and breather hoses
  • LCE Fuel Filter
  • Smog Delete (still have old equipment)
  • New 2-1/4" Custom Exhaust
  • New NGK plugs and wires
  • New Coverlay Dash Pad
  • New radiator
  • New hoses/belts
  • New Clutch
  • New Clutch master cylinder
  • New Clutch slave cylinder
  • Fresh gear oil
  • New differential breathers/vents
  • Rebuilt drag link
  • New front wheel bearings
  • Overhauled front hubs
  • New front disc brake pads
  • New Brake Master Cylinder

The "Bad" - The truck has manual windows, no A/C, and no power steering. The odometer is broken and it needs a radiator fan shroud. I would estimate the truck has about 150k miles. The radio works but one of the speakers is blown.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or more pics. I have tons of content - too much to post in one classified's ad.

Somebody make an offer on this! The worst I can say is no.

It's about to go on BaT.
I’d live to have it but it’s beyond what I am willing to pay. In all honesty BAT will be your best shot a number north of $15K. GLWS!!!
