It is with deep regret that I post this truck up for sale. I searched a long time for this particular setup, and the truck is in immaculate condition with original paint and rust-free. The reason I am selling is that I want to concentrate on my 1977 FJ40 build. And this truck is too nice to modify. It needs to go to someone who wants to continue to do tasteful mods, and appreciates the truck for what it is.

Asking Price: N/A

It is an original paint "Creme" (Color Code 557) 1983 Toyota Short Bed 4x4 DLX Pickup with a 5-speed transmission and 22R engine.

The truck was originally from Northern California where it spent the majority of it's life (hence rust-free). The previous owner (the owner I purchased from), moved the truck to Western Colorado, where it was garage-kept and where he did the interior modifications. I purchased the truck from the Colorado owner.

You can read in my build thread about a few tasteful mods I did to make the truck what it is now.

The "Bad" - The truck has manual windows, no A/C, and no power steering. The odometer is broken and it needs a radiator fan shroud. I would estimate the truck has about 150k miles. The radio works but one of the speakers is blown.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or more pics. I have tons of content - too much to post in one classified's ad.

Original MSRP for this truck was $8738. Less than $20,000 to use your time machine? Seems like a steal to me. Good luck with the sale!

absolutely gorgeous truck and worth every penny. try bring a trailer. a lot of deep pockets there and original rigs go for top dollar. best of luck

Thanks!

Bump.

I'd be all over this for around $15K. Excellent work OP, GLWS!!!

Somebody make an offer on this! The worst I can say is no.

It's about to go on BaT.

I’d live to have it but it’s beyond what I am willing to pay. In all honesty BAT will be your best shot a number north of $15K. GLWS!!!

Did it end up selling on BAT @Will Van?

I ended up waiting for the listing to go live on BaT because of Covid-19. It’s still parked in my garage.

You still interested?
