Hi Guys. I'm gauging interest in my '88 FJ62. She was purchased new in Albuquerque, NM, and stayed there until 2019 when I brought her to Atlanta. I've got the original window sticker and service history from 2001 to present. @cruisermatt did the H-55F swap, t-case & lift, along with various other items & I'm extremely happy with his work. No rust. The PO had a little oopsie, resulting in an aftermarket front left fender & repaint. I'm really interested to hear everyone's (well, probably most everyone's) thoughts. What do you think of the condition? What do you think I should ask for it?

Was the entire truck repainted or just the fender? Also, did this escape the dealership without a roof rack install or was it removed? My understanding is the US dealerships performed installations and rare to find one without. GLWS

@mmmahhmatt

Good Morning,

The truck was a glass-out repaint. I’m pretty sure she never had a roof rack. I asked the PO - who owned the truck for 17 years and purchased it from the original owner - and he said it never had one. The original window sticker doesn’t mention one (though I doubt dealer installed options were added on window stickers then), but I’ve attached it annyway.

Your understanding of the roof rack is correct for the 80 series as a port installed item, but not for the 60’s and 62’s. It is rare to find one with a roof rack.

Well? Did this thing sell? If so, what price? Talk about a cliffhanger

I am always suprised when I see this one still for sale! It should be a great truck and if you have never driven a 62 with the H55, it is a much improved experience!

Even though the Cruiser garage is full, this one is tempting, just needs the conversion to the 27G two tone!

*Ever considered trading it for a solid rust free 97’ Sage 40th anniversary?

You know that feeling when you think back to the ones you shouldn't have sold? I finalized the sale of this truck today and I already feel that way. I am heartened by the fact that the buyer is absolutely the right guy to be the truck's next steward. Thanks to all of you in the community who contributed to and followed this thread.

This is a really great FJ62 and sold for way under what I thought it should. :)

Beautiful rig! I noticed you have Bilsteins on her. Been considering going that direction. How is the ride?
