Gentlemen,

I am 90% completed on swapping out the 3:73 3rd member for the 4:11 on the front axle when I broke the ASCO/Asian locking hub (over-tightened). The donor axle was wearing the Warn locking hubs but they appear to be a no-go as they are longer...

If any of you gentlemen have a spare to replace my broken part (see attached) I'd REALLLY appreciate it - FYI, I've searched all mud classified as well as Ebay with no joy thus far...

Also wondering if I'm missing something regarding using my on-hand Warn hubs - why won't they work?

Many thanks,
Jeff

Just the face - not repairable... Body is OK.

I hate it because while it appears minor, it will likely set me back some $$$ unless I can find someone that has a face lying around unused.

Fortunately, I have plenty of time as I'm waiting on warmer weather so I can finish painting the truck. Also have the rear 3rd member to swap but that should be much easier than the front.

Thanks for any help / leads.

Jeff

I've got some face plates sitting on the shelf, you can swap all your stuff into it.

not sure how over tightening it did this. only way I can see it happening is it wasn't seated correctly and then tightened.

PM me.

That is awesome! Just getting back in here after a busy week.

You need to make sure the dial face is all the way down against the body. DO not use the bolts to try to pull it down. This requires having the guts all packed up correctly before bolting together.

Guessing you understand this concept now...

I would keep the actual dial with "ASCO" on it if that is not damaged.

Let me know if I can help at all.
