Barry, when are you coming home? I have a cubey off veggie oil you can have if I decide not to burn it in the 250.

All of that on a worn out clutch! You are the man Barry.

. The main problem is my clutch is slipping enough to make the engine work harderi--assume thatt means burn more fuel and run hotter--according to Rich at american toyota in albuquerque . It means I have to stop and let the engine cool under some conditions. It also means I use low range in some situations where I normally would use hi. I'm getting the clutch replaced tomorrow. Then I can start wearing that one out!

Todays adventure. Some 30+ years ago my grandmother took me to a place that my then deceased gradfather used to hunt and set traps for beaver. He had a permit to trap and sell the pelts. The place is called gooseberry springs and is a unique spring in the midst of an arid landscape. It forms a stream which runs down the mtn to the plain below. Little water falls, aspen and other greenery abound. I had to dredge my memory but after some driving we found it. There is nothing in the surrounding landscape which would indicate the presence of water. You enter a very steep, rugged old jeep trail, hike a mile or so then it opens into an oasis of green. Beaver dams used to line the lower part, now they are gone. Lots of other wildlife come here to drink and we caught some small watersnakes. The last photo shows the surrounding canyon. Spring and stream are hidden below.

Even though this was shot a few miles up the road from our old place, this was basically the same view I had from my bedroom window as a kid.

Why did you ever move away from that view?!
