One of my goals of this trip was to start developing some skills at new mexican cuisine. My mother has a phenomenal kitchen with a restaraunt level spice cabinet. I ma de my first batch of tamales--old school. I made a hominy/beef/chile stew called posole, a guacamole pico-de-gallo (more mexican than new mexican) and some awesome burritos. I will make tamales for a club ride if there is interest.
