It's been a rough few days. what with school starting and the wifes minivan in the shop. We're down to one car between 3 drivers. I haven't had much time to check on any of these suggestions. I did get the manifolds to a machine shop. I should get them back tomorrow. If my new gaskets come in by then and the minivan is back in service I will be back at it Wednesday. An update will follow.

Hey Charles, just checking to see if you made any progress?

Hope you are doing good.

You got a trailer? if so slap that thing on a trailer, bring it to the ashers.. Believe me, I've done it before.. busted my power steering off the frame once and fixed it up there..
You think there are better opportunites to have a captive audience of cruiserheads/techies in one spot? As soon as a hood goes up it's a swarm of ants at a rig..

Yep, this works. I think I will take my 60 and the 700r4 and all the parts with me. Then I will just stare into the engine bay and ask if that is where it goes. These boys will be all over it, and installed in no time. ;)

Seriously though, The right people will be at this get together!

I was wondering if Chris was going to take this to the extreme and show up with his trailer puzzle.

I would but...

I have been threatened with great bodily harm if I so much as touch the 40 before the master bathroom remodel is completed. Therefore it is still on the trailer waiting for approval to unload, which should come as soon as I have my items ready and am waiting for the plumber.

I have been working extraordinary hours for the last few weeks. I don't see it stoping anytime soon. I have been given more responsibility at work which is a two edged sword. So there's the excuses. Now for what you really want to know.

I got the manifolds back from the machine shop. Including two new helicoil threads in the intake $150. Ouch! But, it seems to have been worth it. Slapped those bad boys back in and it fired right up. Still ran rough. Found the plugs leaking where the air rail was installed. And found a loose ground from the starter. After fixing those, and with a second set of hands last night, we could keep it running while I adjusted the timing. And Wala it runs smooth and holds steady at idle. Fiddled a bit with the mixture and we're off to the races. Hoping to get back up one evening this week to button up some loose ends and get it to a shop for an alignment.

I don't think I can make it to the weekend at Asher's, but it looks like I can make SMORR. Still need to guage :princess: reaction when I say something. A lot depends on the kids activities, and I'm not sure what those are yet.

Great news Charles! Glad it worked out. The alignment is really that easy as Mwalls posted up. A shop will not do much more than that.
