Had a great time this weekend. Ryan and I met up with half a dozen guys from that area and they showed us around.

Have some good ideas for at least a day and a half of the routes. Still have to work out a lot but one of those guys has offered to put some routes together which would help a ton.

Was crazy muddy, but we still covered a lot of ground, ate some good food.

Did you get buttermilk pie from Oark Cafe? I can't remember if I said this but you could time your trip to hit Boxley valley in early AM or late
PM and see the elk herd. You could also do the short hike to Hawksbill Crag.

No, but several people in the group did. I was too stuffed from the meal.

Keep those ideas coming. Gonna sit down in the next couple weeks and start trying to finalize some of the stops to make.

Just a couple thoughts, Roughly what block of area are you looking at running ? And how difficult ? Lots of cool stuff in the area and to the east some As you know the area between cass and oark has a heck of alot of 4 wheeler traffic so alot of the trails are the width of a side by side at most and pin striping is the rule on those I've had to pull my mirrors off several times to fit between trees. if running mainly around that area there were trails along spirit and fane creeks I think they are still open, white rock mountain is a neat place , you can also follow fly gap road east off 23 down to about redding campground there is a nice overlook there Most of my experience Is east of there , though as the wheelers have really become to much for me around there Be sure and check byrds adventure center schedule of events for the period of time since they host alot of rides and such in the area and it can be kinda crowded

Gardens of Madison County?? Sounds girlie to me...

There's been some interest in a 2-3 day overlanding trip in Arkansas, and I guess this is the official thread.

The dates we've tentatively settled on are Friday May 1 through Sunday May 3. Plan is to spend a couple days on the road, with camping in between. Bomar suggested potluck style evening meals, which would be awesome, considering all the awesome food you guys regularly post up. Past that, nothing much else has been decided.

Thread has been started...
I am going to put this stupid easy question out there.

Why don't we just jump on the expedition run with STLCA May 5-7?

It's totally girlie. I'm one of two guys on the committee of 20. I enjoy it though. It's the only fundraiser we do all year. So many MILFs running around it is mind boggling.

I would offer to take your place on the MILF garden committee . But i want to trail ride more.
