With Dan figure automatically it is some version of the Garand. Thought I would get some brownie points for the heads-up. Could have claimed them for myself. Finding newspaper to get the wood stove started is getting harder all the time. Winter is coming.

Thought that would get your goat. Just how many here feel about someone starting mods on a FJ40 only to say all the old parts were hauled off for scrap. Don't use many newspapers. Spring and fall fire in the morning start fresh the next morning. Winters are cold in AZ and stove is going 24/7. As far as burning these I go thru my old newspapers and check for articles of interest like reviews of the LCs and 4Runners before burning. Had a couple worker who brought a paper to work everyday. Saved all those. He past away probably twelve years ago. Many of those papers are fifteen years old. Always find it interesting how things have changed so much.

Google did play a part, I had a great interest at one time in owning an M1 but never followed through. I once saw a rare Garand at local scottsdale gun store 9 Don's), the thing I remembered was Springfield Armory, and a big price tag. Today when Dan mentioned very early it clicked.

All parts are new. All parts are OEM Toyota except the Aisin Pump and the torx screws. Take it all for $100.

I will throw in a Harbor Freight big boy torque wrench to handle the crank nut torque (305#IIRC) that has only been used twice, for $150 total.

This is vintage Filson! Bag has been along for many travels.

Filson Medium Travel bag, otter green.

So I bought this bag many years ago and it has served me very well, in traditional Filson fashion. I've got my eye on something else so I figured I'd offer it up. What initially drew me to this bag over other filson bags is the configuration. It's unique as it has a pair of exterior side pockets and interior side pockets. If you know filson, you know pockets on their duffel's do not usually exist.

Here is a link to the exact bag, Non smoking house, in great condition. This bag age is more vintage and has the bridal leather straps that go all the way around, the non padded shoulder piece, as well as the sought after ykk zipper, rather than the filson branded zippers.

Excellent condition, no strange smells, non smoking household.
