I know a bunch of us enjoy the hobby of collecting firearms. And some of us get out once in a while to target shoot.

Let's see if we can put a collective of information together.

Educational purposes
Gun shows
Ammo deals
Group day at the range

(Fire restrictions are in place currently - outdoor activities are under restrictions)

I can get a small number of folks into shooters world for free. I'm a former employee.

Also a NRA certified handgun instructor and have military experience as an infantryman with long range marksmanship course and instruction and experience from working with some special operations guys. Not saying I'm the best shot in the world but I'm decent and can teach new shooters the basics.

Is that a blunderbuss?! I think someone else around her has a .54 cal one....

RPG 7's, these are registered destructive devices, the subcals are both 7.62x39.

Rifling is very deep to allow excess gas to escape and thus retard velocity so as to mimic the trajectory of a PG rocket for training purposes.

That's cool. Training AT4's are chambered in 9mm.

If anyone is looking for primers, I have some that need a home. I sold both the model 29 and 57 and no longer have a use for them;
1000 CCI 350 and 800 WLP's. Would like to trade for WLR or some WSP's if possible.

My latest 'smoke pole':

It's a .54cal black powder, percussion-fired, Blunderbuss built from a kit. I spent months carving the stock into the 'Warthog' visage I wanted, a friend helped me drill the holes in the buttstock to hold short sections of 1/2" copper pipe which I flared on the ends using 2x sockets in my vice and which hold 18x .54cal lead patched balls - ready to be pushed out from one side or the other and loaded. I also inset a 1885 Morgan Silver Dollar into the side opposite the percussion lock, and drilled holes for brass rod to hold the sling ends inset into the stock. Final touches were made with a wood-burning kit to add interesting flair to the gun and Granfors-Bruks Small Forest axe (matching detail finished as a set) with Birchwood Casey Walnut Stain and 5 coats of Tru-Oil over the top. I 'browned' the barrel using nitride solution on my spare BBQ grill, and after 2 coats it turned out a nice patina brown finish. Polished brass trigger guard and buttplate. Being non-rifled, this Blunderbuss fires either .54cal patched balls (0.15" ticking patches) or alternately equal loads of powder to #4 lead shot, by volume (vs. weight). Either load packs a pretty good punch - but lacking sights makes aiming over that belled muzzle a little bit of guessing and a little bit of luck!

It's fun to shoot, and that's what counts.

Here's some classics from mine:
A very old Goulcher black powder - almost 5 feet long and a very heavy octagonal barrel - sits under the mantel now.

Model 1898 US Springfield Armory "Krag" 30-40 cal. (this one was made in 1900)
M1 US carbine .30 Cal - this one is a "postal meter" the other is "Saginaw SG"
Double barrel Ithica 12 ga with some nice engraving details typical of the time

I would like to find a home for these Blackpowder cap and ball handguns. All replicas: Three .31 caliber baby dragoons with detailed engravings.
2 euroarms .44 cal. One "new army design" the other is a "Navy revolver" design. Any offer will be heard, dont be shy

Good to know, I'm also NRA Certified on Basic Pistol and Range Safety Officer. :)
