A buddy of mine recently moved to MI from Phoenix but he has an original roof rack from his FJ40 still here in Phoenix. Any interest?

Has he answered your message? Hoping he was going to post back what roof rack and some pictures. To my knowledge no original roof rack was ever offered. A ConFer would be nice.

I have a roof rack I picked up from Land Cruiser Phil I know I'll never use. Same price as I paid. Pick it up and it's yours. Can post pictures if anyone wants.

Have you seen the 40 rack Gamiviti.com makes? It is functional and well made, check it out.

I’ll text the guy with the rack see if he has any pictures he’s tough to get always out of the country.

Think this has gotten off track. Unless I'm wrong we don't know for sure what rack he has. To my knowledge there was no original roof rack for the 40 series. Unless @samtoddlee hasn't seen the rack doubt it's a ConFer as he had one for a 60 series. As for a Gamiviti for me would have to be a really good price on a used one to buy at this point. Will be a while until would need for my 79 FJ40. Like I posted early have a few hard top and something.classic would be nice on my 68. I've tried a couple times to pick up a ConFer without success. But none were local.

So the original post about the rack would say yes there is interest. But more information is needed.

I posted and yes more info needed. Yes I have a 60 series con-feet so I know what they look like and I don’t think this is one. Probably just some company that made them after market back in the 70s. Didn’t realize there’d be so much interest fellas sorry. I’ll post back when I hear from my friend with the 40 and the rack.

Yeah, I’ve texted him twice and heard nothing... probably wondering what all the fuss is about... ha!
