Not a great pic but here is the "Oil Drainage Bracket"

And for those still in need of some skids... we ship anywhere :D

That looks good for oil drainage, but what about removing the oil filter?

Good point, since I have the filter changed with every oil change.

Fwiw the latest ARB skid design incorporates a oil drain "shield" for the skid, so you can absolutely change oil without pulling the skid.

I hope that is what Christo is installing on my truck :D

Seriously?!
Damn, Damn, Damn.....the one time I don't procrastinate I get hosed. I got to buy it direct from ARB so the transfer case skid plate doesn't fit AND I get the pleasure of removing the front plate everytime I have to change the oil. I'm sure they are like half off now too, right! Arg!!

Lesson learned - it pays to procrastinate! ;)

You can throw on an M12x1.25 fumoto valve and just tube drain around and into your capture basin. The little ramp addition under the sump isn't that much of an improvement but it is better than not having it for a dealer tech I guess:

Having a better way to get to the filter would be more interesting. Hinging the rear of that front plate letting it drop away may be in our future.

Fumoto is definitely the way to go for draining irrespective of what skids you have on your rig. Accessing the filter is still a pain in the ass no matter what. I gotta say the filter location on my 4Runner's 1GR-FE is where all filters should be.

Oh, whoops....did I misunderstand? I have the ramp/diverter thing in place....I thought Kurt was talking about the filter.....
So there isn't a "door" or panel for the filter on the new ARB's correct - you still need to remove the front-most section to get to the filter..?

Based on the attached picture I think this is what was meant - the ramp. I'm considering installing two small stainless hinges on the bolt/nut arrangement you see joining the plates below. This would allow us to just un-fasten the front two and hinge it down out of the way while swapping the filter.

Sorry guys, I wasn't super clear about that. You don't have to remove the bottom (mid) skid to drain oil. The front skid will still have to come off for oil filter access. One could remove the bottom plug and drain the filter and even remove the filter element without pulling the skid but I don't think you could do it without making a mess. The front skid comes off easily enough I don't plan to deal with the mess.

I believe Slee has them....

That is where I got mine

Mine arrived at Slee today, picking them up on Monday.

Was there a group buy or a maybe a mud discount going on? Thanks.

No group buy. My impression is that @sleeoffroad orders them when we request them, and he's good at getting stuff from ARB pretty quickly. I don't think he keeps a ton in stock. Maybe Christo will chime in here...

I would like skid plates as well

are these skid plates still available? I was looking on the ARB website and they don't list them.

We (Cruiser Outfitters) have several sets in stock, say the word and the can ship as soon as tomorrow. I'm certain Slee carries em too!
