Dang, that sounds kind of strange to me Brent. So you're saying cause it feeds too many people you dont want to go to the effort of making it? Who cares if it feeds 10-12... take some home my man sheesh! I have ziplocks! And it might earn some brownie points with the wifey at home :D

You think the 3 of us will eat the Tri Tip i bought? No, but i can always pack it back home if need be.

Ha! - Wife is headed to Vegas for a boring tax seminar Sunday afternoon.

I have to bail early enough Sunday morning to be home by noonish to take her to the airport.

No fawking way I want that much sweets around the house. I don't need and neither...oh never mind. ;):p

I'll be there regardless.
 
Sounds good on the bailing.. we might head out to a couple vistas and/or take our time getting home. I might also talk Yosh into camping Sunday night somewhere. We always talk about it, but rarely do it. We'll already have the phone forwarded so we can work from the road Monday AM.

Anyhoo... no worries on the pie... im just giving you crap. And don't worry about me.. its a fruit... im not big into fruits. Im good for maybe one whole slice lol

I so want to come - even though I would be in a Land ROVER, not a Land Cruiser - but with the boy's B-day on Friday, and Mother's Day on Sunday - it would be tough.

Hope you all have fun!! This may be the last bearable weekend out there before the thermostat get's turned up!
 
I am still planning on coming late friday afternoon and staying all day Saturday. I can stay til just before dark and then high tail it outta there.

I"ve seen the sliders Castle Fab put on! Nice. Almost have the $$ to have him do the lid for my trailer. Believe it - he's the ONLY fabricator that ever got back to me with a solid quote. Stand up guy in my opinion - local and will get my business.

Understand the committments tho! Enjoy the time with your family!! :clap:

I am wondering if I come down Saturday after noon, wheel, go back to the motel, then get up early sunday and wheel a bit will I get to see anyone. As this is my first trip in the 40, I would like to take it easy, but I am itching to get it out there. Not sure what most of you are going to be up to Sunday morning.

Dave, its a bummer there are too many wishy washy peeps like myself. Thanks for your effort in putting this together.
 
Saturday has no specific plans. Open for whatever anyone wanted to do wheeling wise.

I just plan on relaxing and taking what may be a strenuous hike to the upper water fall back in Sheep Canyon. There are two. The first one is an easy hike of about 20 minutes and I've been to that one. The second is a good half way or further up the canyon wall. You can see the palm trees and vegatation where it is, but I've got no clue how long it will be to get there. I know it's been done, but looks like it'll be some boulder climbing to get to it! Just going to throw plenty of water and lunch in fanny pack and do it. No other plans than that.

I've got to bugger out on Sunday no later than 9-10 am to get home in enough time to get the wife to the airport Sunday early afternoon. I think Dave and Yosh may be sticking around on Sunday tho.

I took a picture of it on my first trip there last fall. I would like to join you on that hike to check out the water fall.

Yeah, that dinner is taking place tonight but it won't do any good. It's just to take care of our 10 year anniversary.
And yesterday my future brother-in-law told us that they are throwing a B-day party for their son this Saturday. So between the anniversary, b-day & tile trip I have to bail out. Looks like I am done wheeling for the season! Have a good Summer boys. :cool:

Yep - that's the one!

Dave - steeper than the pic gives it justice from what I recall! We'll see, should be fun regardless, and we'll use our own fuel instead of the stuff in the cruisers!
 
Yes, definitely steeper than the picture shows. :idea: Hey, if no one else decides to show up, maybe we can do the potluck on Friday instead of Saturday.....just an idea.
